What the game is

Quem Botou Essa? is a party game for 3 to 12 friends on a call. Everyone picks a song in secret, everyone hears 30 seconds of it, and the round is a vote on who put that one in — the reveal comes at the end.

You can play it in the browser at who-put-that.mellofattura.com, or in the iPhone app. Players on the web and players in the app share the same room just fine.

When something goes wrong

The sound doesn't play

Browsers block autoplay until someone taps the screen. That is why the game shows a "Tocar" button — one tap is enough. On iPhone Safari, the system volume and the silent switch have the last word.

The search paused

The catalog provider rate-limited the request for a moment. Wait a minute and try again; the on-screen message tells you when that is what happened.

I dropped and want my seat back

Rejoin with the same nickname while the room is still open. Your score, your chosen song and your votes come back with you.

The host disappeared

The game hands hosting to the next player present. Nobody has to do anything.

A room won't start

A match needs 3 players who have already chosen a song.

The room is gone

Rooms close after an hour idle. Open another one and call everyone back.
